WELCOME TO
LODHIE FOUNDATION
Pioneering Change Since 2010
Focusing on clean water access, solar energy, vocational support, and education, the foundation works through innovative solutions and partnerships to uplift lives and promote sustainable development.
The Lodhie Foundation, established in 2010, is a not-for-profit organisation committed to empowering vulnerable communities by addressing critical needs like water access, solar energy, sewing machines for livelihood, and education support. The foundation’s mission is to create sustainable, long-term solutions that improve the quality of life for underserved populations.
"first ray of light"
Lodhie Foundation aims to bridge gaps in essential resources by focusing on innovation and collaboration, equipping communities with the tools and opportunities necessary for a better future. Through partnerships with regional and international organizations, the foundation drives meaningful change, offering a "first ray of light" to those in need.
Mission
The mission of the Lodhie Foundation is to provide K-5 Universal Primary Education to 30 million children and promote adult literacy among their parents in rural villages across Pakistan. The foundation believes that education is a fundamental right and a powerful catalyst for peace and prosperity. By focusing on educational access and quality, the Lodhie Foundation strives to break the cycle of poverty and create opportunities for future generations.
Vision
The Lodhie Foundation envisions a future where vulnerable communities in drought-prone areas of Pakistan are empowered and resilient. By focusing on installing deep dug wells, hand pumps, and solar energy solutions, the foundation aims to implement low-cost, sustainable initiatives that contribute to the overall improvement of the lives of people in these underserved regions. The foundation believes that access to clean water and renewable energy is essential for uplifting these communities and fostering sustainable development.
INITIATIVES TO BUILD BRIGHT FUTURE
EDUCATION
Our education support initiative includes, but is not limited to, motivating parents and students to reduce dropout rates from schools, providing support to educational institutions for infrastructure improvement, offering financial assistance to deserving students, and implementing technical and vocational training programs. Through these comprehensive efforts, we aim to enhance educational access and quality, ensuring that children in rural communities receive the support they need to succeed in their studies and beyond.
Clean Water
About 20% of the whole population of Pakistan has access to safe drinking water. The remaining 80% of the population is forced to use unsafe drinking water due to the scarcity of safe and healthy drinking water sources.
Income Support
Income Support helps people who do not have enough to live on. It is only available for certain groups of people
who do not get Jobseeker's Allowance or Employment and Support Allowance and are not in full-time
employment.
Team Sports
Over the years, Pakistan has been held back due to the lack of funds placed in sports. Many facilities are
substandard, causing Pakistan to fall behind other nations.
Health Care
Access to comprehensive, quality health care services is important for promoting and maintaining health,
preventing and managing disease, reducing unnecessary disability and premature death, and achieving health equity.
Vocational Training
Vocational education is education that prepares people to work as a technician or to take up employment in a skilled craft or trade as a tradesperson or artisan. Vocational education is sometimes referred to as career and technical education.
